‘Vision Quest’ is not just an artwork of a lion’s eye…. as with all my pieces, it’s so much more than that. They say that 'the eye is the seat of the soul' and I wanted this piece to represent not only our inner world but also our perspective and influence on our outer world too.
When looking into the eye, it is all about the essence within; your character, your emotions, the true depths of your heart.
What is reflected back in the eye, is the vision ahead, the future horizon, the aim of where you are heading and want to go.
So, this piece is about knowing yourself, the truest version that sits at the core of you and journeying forward from that place to follow your own unique path.
