Carriage Driving Horses
Charcoal, soft pastels and pastel pencils

Original Artwork (70cm x 50cm): Double mounted plus gutter mount, ready for framing

I was inspired by my time at the Royal Windsor Horse Show watching the four-in-hand carriage driving coaching marathon. I felt like I'd stepped back in time, it was truly incredible to watch the power and skill of four horses working together.

This piece was also an exciting challenge as I've not created full-bodied horses before and I also had the intricate details of the leather and metal harnesses to tackle. I thoroughly enjoyed bringing to life an image of what would have been every day life in a bygone era.
