The inspiration for this piece came from watching three lionesses hunting when I was in Zambia. I loved observing their strength, determination and athleticism as they tried to sneak up on a herd of buffalo.
In this artwork I see stealth, skill, passion, patience, a sense of fierce focus.
It also makes me remember the scent of the grasses drifting on the breeze, the warmth of the sun on my skin and the foreign calls of African bird life that fills the air.
An artwork after all, is far more than just a picture.
